Beverley Jones - Yard Manager

Bev has taken early retirement from 17 years service with the Merseyside Mounted Police Section where she trained the new recruits and bought and schooled the police horses. She has a sparkling personality and an infectious laugh - no-one is bored when she is about the yard. Her love of horses and knowledge of horse care, coupled with her police training & discipline ensure that the horses, yard and equipment are absolutely spot on at all times. She is a great listener and a very sympathetic teacher, we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have her with us.

Nusrettin Ürkmez– Head Groom

Nusrettin came to us from Turkey with very little knowledge of the equestrian world. Over his time here he has built up his understanding and skill of horsemanship and stable management. Nus has proved to be an adept Yard Boy and a natural rider. He is always ready to help and makes sure that all of Bev’s strict instructions are adhered to.

Ali Karaibraham – Head Coachman

Ali is our expert with the carriage horses. He takes great pride and delight driving the carriage through the roads in Kyrenia. Not only does this require a great deal of skill but a certain amount of bravado as he and his horse negotiate the narrow roads and vehicles. Ali is never happier than driving the horses – especially for weddings.

Kristina Gürsöy – Friend & Occasional Trail Guide

Kristina is drenched in knowledge of Cyprus history and makes any ride that she is accompanying an absolute joy, she’ll talk you through all the different ages from the Romans & Byzantines right up to Mr & Mrs Smith who have just settled in Karmi!! She is the co-author of the Landmark Guide to Northern Cyprus the definitive guide book for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Julie Harper & Leah Claydon

Both Julie & Leah are always keen to get onboard a horse if there is a space or Bev wants a day off!! Skilled horsewomen in a variety of disciplines their relocation to Northern Cyprus has proved a bonus for us.
